Main Presentation:

Creative Lighting With Maxwell – A New Photographic 2118_Dining_3K_250914_02Approach For Making Beautiful Images.

Creative lighting is a way of thinking and an approach to image making.
Creative lighting is about learning to see and think about light as a photographer does and the craft of image making as a painter would. It is an approach to image making that favours the artist’s vision over technical knowledge. It is about believing in the power of the artist.  In this presentation Nikos Nikolopoulos, founder of Creative Lighting in Athens Greece, discusses his use of 3ds Max and the Maxwell renderer in his work.

2139_Nikon_Df_2K_Shot002_112118_Jaguar_5K_02_260914For several years Nikos worked at Cityscape Digital as their lead 3d artist and then CGI director. Eventually the call of the homeland grew too strong, but Cityscape and Nikos were like family too and did not want to part company. Instead they forged a new concept together, creativelighting.co, a vision of CG driven by the philosophies of cinematic lighting. Nikos has now set up a studio in Athens where he continually explores light, drives Maxwell and V-Ray to their limits, and presents his findings and miscellaneous beautiful things globally.
