Mainstage Talks – Feb 2013 – Oliver Zeller – Digital Sets and Pipeline Integration

Duration 1 hour 25 min.  Recorded February 19th 2013

In this Mainstage Talk Oliver Zeller discusses a bit of the history of digital sets along with common elements used in the industry to execute digital sets.  He presents two case studies: the VES Society nominated Mezzo commercials and the short film/faux teaser commercial he directed, Immersive Cocoon “2011″. Pre-production & on-set will be covered in addition to 3DS Max’s use on both projects. Since 3DS Max was part of a larger CG pipeline on both projects, interoperability between 3DS Max and other software are a prevalent theme.

As a fellow Darktree fan, I should point out that there is a max 2013 recompile available from Darksim. Until something better comes along (Allegorithmic isn’t) we’ll keep using it.
