While 3ds Max is known as a 3D digital content creation (DCC) tool for creating computer-generated imagery (CGI) as the end deliverable, Kim will discuss how 3ds Max has been used for previsualization, mechanical planning, and incorporating techniques and tools from the world of rapid prototyping and the growing makers movement in high-end commercial production. Case studies will show how 3ds Max was critical in facilitating the timely completion of projects, including Google Maps™ “Explore your World,” AT&T® Pantech, and some other projects currently in production.

Refreshments will be provided.
