In the wake of the initial VFX Town Hall meeting that took place on March 14th (pi day) that was based in Los Angeles and included web video feeds from various cities around the world sans New York,\u00a0 there is currently a NY based VFX townhall meeting being planned for Monday June 10th 2013.\u00a0 It will be held at the site of the Collider Conference (www.colliderevents.com) and will start at the conclusion of that day’s official conference events.\u00a0 It will be open to the general public and is being jointly organized by the people behind the initial VFX townhall meeting in LA, including Mariana Acuna (who will be present for the NY meeting) and Neha Wickramasekaran along with the organizers of the Collider Conference.\u00a0 Though the final lineup for speakers at this town hall meeting is not final, some of the participants will include Dr. Scott Ross (who spoke at the initial meeting in LA), as well as representatives from IATSE’s Local 829 chapter.<\/p>\n
Unlike the initial meeting in LA, for this one we have a lot more lead time to get the community aware of the meeting and for everyone to really think about what issues they would like voiced.\u00a0 So start writing down your thoughts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
